MTACYS organise Strategic Retreat 2019

KUCHING - Over 130 senior management staff from Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Sarawak (MTACYS) and its agencies have attended a three-day strategic retreat which was held at Damai, Santubong on 4 to 6 January.

According to Permanent Secretary to the ministry, Mr Hii Chang Kee the event was aimed to review the strategic plan in 2018 and at the same time to discuss as well as to agree on the various initiatives to be undertaken in 2019. The organizational strategic plan will also be translated into individual and team action plans for 2019.

“It is important for us to plan ahead to ensure that we can achieve greater success in all of the initiatives and action plans that will be implemented in year 2019. We have organised this before and the outcomes had been positive,” he enthused.

“Similarly, we want to consolidate and share things that have been planned earlier by the respective divisions and agencies to ensure better understanding among our staff as well as to keep them abreast with the latest development on the ministry’s initiatives,” he added.

Among those who attended the event were the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) from Sarawak Tourism Board, Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB), Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), Sarawak Arts Council (SAC), Sarawak Crafts Council (SCC), Sarawak Museum Department and heads of divisions from MTACYS.
